Commissioned by the Madre Museum of Napoli (@museo

Commissioned by the Madre Museum of Napoli (@museomadre ) to Daniel Buren in 2015, this installation is welcoming visitors in the atrium of the museum.

Axer / Désaxer. Lavoro in situ takes the visitor into another dimension and erase the streets lines, the walls and sealing bringing him into Buren’s world. The iconic 8.7cm black and white stipes merge guide us into the exhibition spaces of the museum.

I can’t really explain why i am always transported by Buren’s pieces, maybe it is the aligned disorder of his work or just my attraction to his ability to transform a place with simplicity and playfulness.

It feels so good to be able to travel again and to move freely from a place to another (respecting social distancing and safety measures of course) 😷.
I have been taking some time off from SB Project just because i needed it after a busy year studying and working.
As i am about to start my final year at university before graduating from a degree in Art history I will share with you as much as I can as I still have a full time job aside from all my personal projects.
I am currently in Naples where my holidays come to an end and I will soon post a few pictures on my visit to @museomadre which i really enjoyed after so much time spent away from museums.

Wanted to share with you about a few galleries i went to last week during the @parisgalleryweekend.
It was nice to go back to Paris for the weekend (this where i originally come from) but also to get the opportunity to talk with gallerists and discover artworks that had been produced over the past months.
@gillesdrouault_galeriemultiple you will discover how @louis.granet has taken over the space with dynamic artworks, @galeriebinome you’ll dive under water with @laurenceaegerter and you’ll fall in live with LA @galerieperrotin with the paintings of @jeanphilippedelhomme 😍

Today I am presenting the work of the French well established artist: Jean-Michel Othoniel (@othoniel_studio). His work is deep and his message very thoughtful. He seeks to represent humanity as part of an ecosystem with the planet and the environment. He has been presenting monumental artworks in situ as well as more common pieces hanged on walls. I wanted to talk about his work because one of his last project really caught me, it is the one commissioned for the 30th anniversary of the pyramid of the Louvre in Paris. He depicted circular pearl collars with chinese ink on gold leaves. He found inspiration into a painting of Rubens exhibited in the museum. A small detail of the painting is a rose which represents power and passion embodying perfectly the Great institution of Louvre. I discovered these pieces in November in my favorite part of the museum, Cour Puget and it transported me back to Antwerp where i had been a few weeks back to get to know a place where one part of my family was coming from.
